BEHIND THE F*CKING BACK – Ira Sved

Two versions of the same book character. A single place in the author’s mind. One is an adult, rational, shaped by short, self-contained stories.
The other is young, rebellious, tied to an unfinished novel born in adolescence.
In Behind The F*cking Back, this confrontation becomes a fierce clash between growth and nostalgia, between discipline and desire, between what works and what continues to burn. A metanarrative work, straddling theater and prose, that explores identity, self-betrayal, and the price of becoming an adult. Because every choice to grow up means leaving someone behind.

Ira Sved (pen name of Ieva Simanauskaitė) was born in 2007, in Vilnius (Lithuania).
In 2025, she graduated from Vilnius International French Lyceum but decided to remain in Vilnius to study law at Vilnius University.
In addition to attending university, she pursues her passion for literature, which has earned her second place in the Lithuanian National School Students’ Essay Competition, “How Do You Understand the Statement ‘Culture Flourishes Through Creativity and Service to the Community?’” Moreover, her article on Justine Triet’s award and ‘scandal’ at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival was published in the Lithuanian art journal “7 meno dienos”. Behind The F*cking Back is her debut novel.
