Beautiful things.
All things can be taken away.
The good and the bad.
Heartbreak and loneliness are not the end of the road,
just the end of a chapter.
I loved him.
How tragic.
I am enough
I have always been enough
This is my journey to know this truth
To all the women that have been broken, been made to feel unworthy and
not enough.
You are more than worthy and enough.
Worthy of love. Worthy of affection. Worthy of attention.
There is a better life for you if you have the courage to take the steps one by
one to get there.

Tuck’s writing style is deeply personal, engaging and reflects a spicy combination of humour and insight – the way she writes immediately pulled me into the story. I found myself laughing along with her, and I will not deny the amount of times my eyes teared up! Through Tuck’s words I could well imagine the streets of London or the motorbikes in Asia as her descriptions are both immersive and entertaining.

The story itself is a narration of Tuck’s journey from a moment in her life, where she finds herself at a crossroads and deeply depressed, through the changes she decided to make to flip her life around, till present day. She comes full circle, and takes the reader along for the ride. Imagine being at your lowest, and you have to swim or sink at a time in your life where you think you should have it all together? Relatable, right? That’s what I loved about Finding my Supergrrl, I may not have experienced any of the author’s events, however I can deeply empathise and understand what she feels during this time.

Rather than purely documenting her travels, both internal and external, Tuck pulls the reader into her adventures. I was invested! There were so many moments where I was forced to stop and do a bit of introspection whether it was through the playlist of songs, a dark moment in the journey or through a similar experience I found myself gravitating to.

All in all, Finding my Supergrrl is an acknowledgement of personal grief using travel as a way of finding one’s true north. This is a must read for women seeking inspiration, a funny adventure or to remember that none of us alone.

Finding My Supergrrl is one of those rare books that feels like a conversation with the author herself. From the very first page, Chené’s voice is warm, honest and deeply engaging. Reading this memoir is like sitting down for coffee with a close friend who isn’t afraid to share the raw, beautiful and sometimes painful moments of her journey and allow the reader to connect with her.

The storytelling flows effortlessly, weaving personal reflections with vivid imagery that stays with you long after you’ve put the book down. Every chapter starts off with the most beautiful introductory paragraph that is either the most uplifting piece or the most heartbreaking. Also, shoutout to Chené for loving ice cream as much as I do, it made me feel weirdly seen in the middle of my own mess.

Chené takes you with her from the start of her heartbreak journey, through her healing (with funny moments, memorable quotes, and friends I wish I had), all the way to the moment she finally found herself and became her own Supergrrl. I’m not ashamed to say I did tear up and cry more than once and I underlined so many lines that it looks like a school book but I wouldn’t change a single thing.

If you’re looking for a memoir that leaves a lasting impression and feels intimate, authentic and real, Finding My Supergrrl is absolutely one to add to your reading list.

This book touched my heart and soul in so many ways. It just spoke and resonated with me like no other book has ever done.

This travel memoire is for sure a 5 star read.

So many emotions through the eyes of the author and so many words of wisdom that I can apply to my life also.

My favourite book of the year by far.

I was incredibly blessed to be picked to be on @ street team.

This book is such a deeply personal read, and I think no matter your stage in womanhood, you’ll find something that touches you.

I highlighted so many parts, some I’ll share others I won’t because they’re quite personal in nature and the reasons the quotes resonated is not something I want to share.

This book lets you know you’re not alone, that there’s always someone in your corner and that you are worthy.

    Some of my favourite quotes:
*The only way to have good judgment is to have had some experience.
    * I may have lost myself in London, but at the same time, I found myself and a strength I thought I had forgotten that I had.
    *Say yes and go left.
    * I was breaking down the illusions of who I thought I had become over the years.

    And there’s plenty more.

This book reads like a cosy conversation with your best friend.

@ was incredibly brave sharing her heart this way, and this book has been on my mind since I finished it.

So if you’re at a crossroads in your life ( in any area), READ THIS BOOK.

Finding My Supergrrl is one of those rare books that pulls you in and refuses to let go. From the very first chapter, Chené Tuck’s writing feels raw, honest, and deeply human. She does not just tell a story, she invites you into her world, her struggles, and her triumphs.

At 566 pages, it is a long read, but every page feels intentional. What I appreciated most is that this is not a glossy, “perfect” tale of finding yourself. It is messy, vulnerable, and at times emotional, which makes it so real and relatable. Chené’s courage to strip back the layers of who she thought she was, and to share that process so openly, makes the book both comforting and empowering.

The theme “to find yourself, you need to let go of who you think you are” resonated with me long after I closed the book. It is not just a story, it is a mirror that makes you pause and reflect on your own journey.

If you are looking for a book that combines storytelling with soul, and if you are ready to be inspired to dig deeper into yourself, this is a must-read.

Reading this book reminded me of my own journey of letting go and starting fresh. Chené Tuck’s story is raw and vulnerable, yet full of hope. If you have ever wondered who you really are beneath the layers of expectation, this book is for you. Was recommended by my daughter in law, and it was honestly such a fantastic read, couldn’t put it down, despite the tears in my eyes.
