Michael Renaud was born in August 1943, raised in Los Angeles California and educated by the Brothers of Holy Cross at Notre Dame high school in the San Fernando Valley. He joined the Navy in 1962 and was stationed in Japan. After the military, he revisited Japan for 3 years, attended Sophia University in Tokyo and then returned home to work in the film industry as a film editor, post production executive, writer and director for over 35 years.
